How did it all start?
I originally started with Bio Energetics & The Pathwork after the death of my father. A year later I met Robert Kirby and had a body reading. After my first workshop I found that many of the exercises were similar to Bio Energetics and after my first live-in retreat I decided to join the four-year training.
What fascinates you about managing The Core Centre?
To be able to interact and see the changes in people, to watch them and see them grow over time. To be a leader and positive role model in the community, to help build the community and a sense of connectedness with other modalities.
Why are you committed to the Core Centre?
I am passionate about health and wellbeing. I am very passionate about child hood development and mental health. In particular working with children with ADD and ADHD. I have a strong intention for people to succeed and flourish in what they are best at.
Favourite teachers and books?
My second grade Teacher Mr Corbin, he had a great sense of humour and a big heart, he always encouraged me to ask more questions– and I was his favourite. In the last 5 years I have been blessed with so many wonderful teachers I can’t say I have a favourite…Oh…and Madonna, love her, she is such a strong powerful woman, I love the way she continually reinvents herself. Richard Branson is another favourite, what a legend, the guy is such a visionary, his autobiography is so motivating and inspiring he is someone I definitely want to meet in this life.
The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman, and of course Character Analysis by Wilhelm Reich….no only joking!!
Your proudest achievement?
Raising my two children into responsible young adults. Allowing them to make choices about their own life and letting them do it. Giving them the balance in family environment – from both mum and dad – that I did not have. And then seeing the results in my youngest daughter’s report card, when her teachers congratulate her consistency and how responsible she is for her own behaviour. Being able to hold a space and continue to love my eldest daughter through the teenage years! That’s a challenge, they are both my teachers too.
What’s your vision as a practitioner?
I want to create a children’s development program based on the principles of Core Energetics. And also to help support women, especially those who have been victims of abuse, to help them reclaim their power.

How did it all start?
It all started with my relationship to Moniquea. The person I loved was going in a direction I wasn’t and I felt like I was getting further away from her. More than three years ago now I actually hit a crisis point in my life that felt like death. The only solution was to start the old therapy. So I went to a two-hour Core Energetics Workshop, I felt immediate results after completing a weekend relationships workshop I then enrolled in the four-year course and have never looked back since.
What fascinates you about managing The Core Centre?
I like to think about what we can give back to the community and what we can build for Core Energetics and all modalities. How we can help create a new more professional standard for the industry -- becoming a central space for anyone who wants to grow and develop in their life and their relationships.
Why are you committed to the Core Centre?
My own personal journey has shown me what I am missing out on in life, on a personal level and on a relationship and family level. I have real dreams now of where I can be in the future. What I have experienced and learnt in the past people can benefit from in the future.
Favourite teachers and books
Robert Kirby and the lecturers he brings across from New York are just awe inspiring. They really help get me in gear and everyone needs a bit of that at some point in their life.
My favourite book would have to be ‘Body Mind Mastery’ by Dan Millman.
Your proudest achievement?
In my first year as a soccer coach, I coached the under 10s. They got all the way through to the semi-finals! The team won 16 / 20 games, versus about 4 / 20 in the previous season. We won the first game of the season 8-0. Some of the kids were so ecstatic when they won, never having felt that winning feeling before. It was fantastic!
What’s your vision as a practitioner?
To combine Core Energetics and Sports Psychology. A lot of players get really frustrated during their game, they are not in present time, they’re worried about losing or something else. That separates them from the team. Winning is about mobilizing and connecting the group energy of the team.
