Childhood Development Programs

Often school cannot cater to the unique needs of our children.  Larger classes, restricted time and the personality of the teacher all play a role in determining this.  Yet, without having their developmental needs met, our children can grow up unnaturally, with key areas of their personality under-developed, and others over-developed.

Introducing Core Kids

Childhood development programs are group sessions with children aged 8-12, supervised by Professional Practitioners in Body Psychotherapy and experienced Dance Teacher.  During these sessions a range of games are played that incorporate elements of:

  • Contemporary Dance
  • Drama
  • Movement
  • Improvisation
  • Singing
  • Drawing
  • Story telling
  • Meditation

At all times supervisors are responsible for a setting safe, secure and non-judgemental atmosphere.

Parents are welcome to join in too if they wish.

Benefits of Core Kids

In these sessions your child will learn how to:

  • Get in touch with their own needs, and their true passion
  • Relax, have fun and just be children
  • Stand up and express themselves more comfortably to others
  • Be confident in group settings, set healthy boundaries and cooperate
  • Express themselves creatively
  • Develop healthy social skills naturally

Program Overview

  • Programs run after school from 3:30-4:30pm and 5:00pm-6:00pm in line with School Term
  • Additional programs are run on school holidays (dates / times to be confirmed)
  • Groups are limited to a maximum of 8 children in The Soul Studio
  • A tailored program is developed for each child, and this will be implemented in the group during the Term.
  • The same supervisor facilitates the group each week and regularly checks off progress per child with the agreed developmental plan.  If necessary, any changes are made along the way and you are advised of this immediately.
  • Mid-Term and end of Term, children present their work to parents so that parents have the opportunity to formally assess progress and discuss this with the supervisor.
  • At the end of the program an evaluation session is conducted with the supervisor and parent / child to ensure progress was made on your goals.
  • Pricing is dependent on your program.
